Claw Gear TDU (Mk2)
It's
been over a year since Claw Gear launched the Stalker range of tactical clothing and we at BaselineSupplies have been involved from very early on.
From the start we were keen to find something new and different for the military market and the Stalker range of clothing fitted the bill perfectly. They were innovative and very well
made and to be honest, since we started stocking them, we haven't looked back....
However, nothing is perfect and from day one we were in constant communication with Claw Gear with a view to improving this already feature packed product, to make one of the most
comfortable and useful items of military clothing available today.
The Stalker range has been available in a number of camouflage variations and it seemed only natural to both improve the material and the varieties of camouflage while we were
improving the design. The entire range is now produced using rip stop material which we have found to be ideal for the applications the clothing was designed to be used in. In
addition to this Claw Gear have added a number of camouflage variations, with more to be added all the time.
So - what is the new Mk2 kit all about?
Put simply - The kit is designed around the wearer - making life easier and more comfortable.
The trousers incorporate removable knee pads which provide protection and impact absorption. We along with Claw Gear, thought long and hard with regards to the design
of the knee area in the new trousers and decided to start from scratch. The new Knee area is both comfortable and ensures that the knee pad protects the knee when the leg is bent
(reducing the tendency for the knee pad to roll off the knee).
We also redesigned the cargo pocket area of the trousers, adding 2 x M4 5.56 mag holders/pouches to the pocket, incorporating a strap around the thigh to ensure that the pocket
doesn't flap around with the added weight of the magazines (again ensuring user comfort). The pocket flap can be held open allowing the user easy access.
Given these changes and the numerous pockets on the trousers, it was clear that there could potentially be a lot of weight carried by the wearer, where a normal belt would be
insufficient/uncomfortable. To this end, Claw Gear incorporated re-enforced loops to enable the user to attach the trousers to braces/harness again ensuring the maximum comfort when
wearing the trouser.
We are often asked why the Claw gear trousers and jackets are so expensive - Basically the kit is ALL hand-made and its all made to an incredibly high standard. Claw Gear doesn't
compromise on either the quality of material or the quality of workmanship - you can be confident that anything made by Claw Gear is made to the highest possible standards.
Obviously if you have any queries regarding Claw Gear products, please do not hesitate to contact us by phone or e-mail and we'll be happy to give you an honest response.
